Sean Starwars is an Outlaw Printmaker living and working in Laurel, Mississippi. He is a very accomplished and well-respected figure in the art world, a rock-and-roller, a genuine weirdo, and, perhaps most importantly, a skateboarder.
On Nov. 6, 2021, Change had our first Art Exhibition with Sean Starwars, and he made up these custom hand-printed tee shirts for the event.
Depending on how you hold your mouth, we're either celebrating our 1st year back in the game as CHANGE, or our 25th year since opening the first shop here in Tupelo back in 1996. Either way, 2020-2021 was a helluva year!
People have asked what it was like to re-open the shop during this world-wide dumpster fire of a year. The truth is—it has been awesome. The skateboarding community in Mississippi has never been bigger or better. An underserved part of the live music scene here in Tupelo is thriving once again with hardcore, punk rock, and hip-hop shows. Weirdos are coming together for art exhibitions and other parties. People are getting inspired, putting in work, and making it happen. And we're so stoked to be here for it.
A huge, heart-felt "Thank You" to every single one of you who have been here supporting your local skateshop this year.
